"catch me if you can"...

... Shutter Island  Titanic  Inception  Gangs of New York   The Departed  Revolutionary Road  is my favourite film with Leonardo DiCaprio Y! So I'm very excited to discover this version of The Great Gatsby...besides that, 20's clothes seem to be amazing!!

Even if some songs are really good (Florence + The Machine, The XX,...), I'm quite disappointed by the soundtrack...I usually blog about what I love, but I think Beyoncé's Black to black is useless...

“He's my sun, he makes shine like diamonds
Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful?
Will you still love me when I got nothing but my aching soul?
I know you will, I know you will
I know that you will…”           > Lana Del Rey

to the moon and back

I put Railroad Track in my playlist of 2012 and you probably already heard his song Yeah Yeah in the ad for 'Ipod'. Willy Moon is a young musician from New Zealand who just releases, after few singles, his first album! I really like his retro-pop-songs and his black&white photography too...so I wanted to make you discover him!

PS: Yes, the title of this post refers to the song of the band Savage Garden...

"I ain't waste no more time
See that girl, she's so fine
And I know that she's mine
'Cause she said she loves me yeah
She said something to me
Just wait and see
How it's gonna be
'Cause she said she loves me yeah
She said she loves me now
She really loves me now
She's my baby and I think I love her too..."   > Willy Moon

"This is the most important hour of your week"

The Hour. I watched the entire second season of this British series - starring Ben Whishaw as Freddie Lyon -  in one week. I completely loved the plot, characters, clothes and, most of all, the 50's vintage atmosphere!
For me, it is a great series to see!

gangster style

I recently watched Gangster Squad, a film about fight against underworld of Los Angeles, starring Ryan Gosling (!!!, I had to see it!), Emma Stone (I'd like her hair colour so much) and Sean Penn, which takes place in the 50's (great decade for clothes, isn't it ?)

Anyway, Ryan  Jerry Wooter  all clothes look great, here you are :

Love, love me do...

No, I'm not talking about my love life...this is the 50th birthday of The Beatles' song Love Me Do!!
I think they deserve a post, don't they?
I would be there, in 1962...for dresses, haircut, music and atmosphere...

PS: This is the 50th birthday of Bond...James Bond too. (for my mum!)

"Love, love me do.
You know I love you,
I'll always be true,
So please,
Love me do.
Love, love me do.
You know I love you,
I'll always be true,
So please,
Love me do.
Someone to love,
Somebody new.
Someone to love,
Someone like you.
Love, love me do.
You know I love you,
I'll always be true,
So please,
Love me do.
Love, love me do.
You know I love you,
I'll always be true,
So please,
Love me do"

summertime sadness

My favourite season is beginning : Autumn
I really like the H&M ads with Lana Del Rey, here you are :

“I got that summertime, summertime sadness
...
I think I'll miss you forever
Like the stars miss the sun in the morning skies
Later's better than never…”       > Lana del Rey

NEW: I have updated my Playlists Page and now you can find titles of songs I quote in my posts

RED

Hey!
I was searching for a nail polish when I discovered that I had four different red colours... First I thought they would be pretty the same, but, in fact, they do not look the same at all!

If you want to be chic and sensuous... black-red is for you ; It-Girl (Sephora)

For a retro-preppy-bright style : Cherry Popsicle (Sephora)

With its orange highlights, this one is perfect for summer! Have Misschievous (Missguided)! and you can admire my little summer degrade...

If you want to look like Marilyn Monroe or any other 'Femme Fatale'... try OPI Red (OPI)
and yes, I did find funny to do some stripes on one nail...

“I am done with my graceless heart
So tonight I'm gonna cut it out and then restart
Cause I like to keep my issues strong
It's always darkest before the dawn…”                           > Florence + The Machine

Retro-Glam'

« She's got the look (she's got the look)
She's got the look (she's got the look)
What in the world can make a brown-eyed girl turn blue
When everything I'll ever do I'll do for you
And I go la la la la la, she's got the look… »              > The Baseballs
